Ceylon Institute of Builders concluded the Construction Expo 2024 successfully which was recently held at the BMICH.
The event commenced with a special ceremony to inaugurate the exhibition empowering the industry with a gathering of dignitaries, prospective investors and representatives from the Construction Industry Commercial Sectors in Sri Lanka.
Export Development Board Chairman Dr. Kingsley Bernard graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Jude Fernando and Dr. Manoj Weeraman, Directors of St. Anthony’s Ventures Limited joined the ceremony representing the Main Sponsor. Dr. Rohan Karunaratne, President, CIOB and Prof. Chitra Wedikkara addressed the gathering and expressed their enthusiasm towards a better way forward for the future of the Sri Lanka Construction Industry from its present status. At the inauguration, Dr. Karunaratne thanked the gathering and appreciated all sponsors who came forward to support the CIOB with a great generosity to organise the event.
Tokyo Cement Lanka PLC joined the event as the Platinum Sponsor and other industry giants such as Alumex PLC, Lex Duco (Pvt) Ltd, Confab Steel (Pvt) Ltd, Creative Granite & Marble (Pvt) Ltd, Nippon Paint Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and Hayleys Fentons Limited as Gold Sponsors supported the event to be a success.
Many industry stakeholders participated as stall holders and added a vibrant and colourful ambience to the Construction Expo 2024. The unwavering support extended to CIOB by Event Max Exhibitions and their teams in organising this event was also much-admired.
The backing received from almost all print and electronic media establishments was also contributed immensely to carry the massage to the general public with whom the CIOB was able to make a successful story in concluding the exhibition.
