Checking for feasibility of new rail tracks in Sri Lanka

Feasibility of building a rail track from Embilipitiya to Batticaloa in the East via Moneragala and Ampara (Feasibility
check carried out by the Central Engineering Consulting Bureau) and extending an existing track to from Colombo to
Avissawella to Hambantota via Ratnapura, Embilipitiya and Mattala (Feasibility check carried out by Moratuwa University)
are currently underway.
